One week

Well we came home from the hospital one week ago today. In some ways it's been a quick week and in other ways its been a long week. Mainly we've been learning how to handle two little boys at the same time. Doesn't sound like a big task, but it's been a HUGE one. We first had to get Isaac back on his schedule. With me in the hospital and Bill staying with me at night and Nana taking care of Isaac, the poor boy was very confused. He did a great job and was a very good boy, but once again we learned he is a schedule kind of baby. He was waking up early and taking a nap early, therefore going to bed early so we had a cranky boy. It didn't take long to get him back on his schedule. Then we had to learn how to incorporate Noah into the equation of our life and still make sure that Isaac had our attention as well. Fortunately my mom was here to help for a whole week. She was amazing. All the laundry is done, the house is clean and tons of boxes are packed. That was amazing. I joked and said something has happened that I've prayed for all my life. I throw the dirty clothes to the bottom of the stairs, they are washed, dried, folded and put away and I didn't have to do anything. It was amazing. But now, the laundry fairy is gone ;-(
We're learning that Noah is a good baby who likes to eat all the time. I feel like my days are spent feeding boys, changing clothes, changing diapers and picking up after everything. Strangely I'm exhausted by the time Isaac goes to bed. We're settling into this whole family of four thing. Noah is fortunately sleeping 3-4 hours stretches at night which has been wonderful for me. I'm slowly recovering from the C-section. I feel like I recovered much fast from Isaac but I have to remember that my body was already worn out from running after a toddler and from being pregnant where I didn't have this much on my plate when Isaac was born. I really can't complain though. Everyone who sees me says I'm doing amazing, but you know me, I don't like to be limited and I feel as though I still can't do a lot of thing. Mainly pick up my big boy. I never imagined it would be this hard not to pick up my little man. Even holding him is not the easiest thing right now. Bill has been such an amazing help. He's been changing most of the diaper. Honestly I don't even know if I've changed Isaac's diaper since I've been home and I only change Noah's when we get up in the middle of the night. Bill has been giving Isaac a bath and doing anything that involves lifting the big boy.
I have a few pictures to post, but honestly we've been so busy caring for the boys that we haven't had much time to take pictures. I will try to do better.

Pizza Face

His new favorite toy....moving boxes. He's screaming as loud as he can.

Here I am Mom

Should I jump????

Mild mannered for a moment.

Posing with brother. Hard to believe Isaac was almost 2 lbs smaller than Noah at one point.

All clean from my first tubby at home.

Brother had to have a kiss after Noah's tubby

Brother had to check it all out.

Look at those blue eyes. I don't think they are gonna be blue for long.

Those eyes say "oh that's bright"

A few new pictures

My little boy

My big boy

My boys!

We pulled out the bouncy seat since Noah isn't too fond of laying in a crib.
Isaac decided he had to sit in it too.

When we got home from the hospital, Isaac immediately ran to the car seat
and kissed Noah and patted him on the head. He loves his new brother so much.

He actually fits unlike Isaac did.

Love from Daddy.

Such a big little man.

Mommy love

This way Isaac's best use for the bassinet at the hospital

Napping together. Noah loves to nap all cuddled up.

Blur.....

So the last 20 some hours have been a complete but wonderful blur. We arrived at the hospital yesterday morning around 5:30 and the room filled with people asking questions and poking and prodding, then off to surgery with about the same feeling then back to recovery with the same feeling. I finally got to hold my little man ;-)
Noah weighed in at 7 lbs 14 oz and has the longest fingers and toes I've ever seen on a baby. He has a head full of almost black hair and a wonderful content spirit. He's a very alert baby. He lays there looking around taking everything in for long periods of time. He loves to be held and loves to be wrapped up in a little cocoon. The tighter the better. I was trying to avoid the pacifier at least for a little while. Not that I'm against it I just wanted to wait, but this boy must suck on something all the time. We broke down in the middle of the night and gave him one. He's already holding it in his mouth by himself. The nurse even commented on him sucking everything this afternoon. He's a pleasant little boy.
Isaac loves being a big brother. Every time he comes to the hospital he immediately must give Noah kisses and hugs. Even before he will say hi to me, he must kiss Noah and pat his face. I'm surprised at how gentle he's being. It will be interesting to see how this all goes once we are home.
I'm going to post a few pictures to enjoy.

Noah Allen Ford

Noah arrived this morning at 7:53 am weighing 7lbs 14oz and 20 1/2 inches long. Just like Isaac he has long fingers and toes. He has a head full of very dark hair that might be curly! He has my little round face! I'm so excited. He is doing great and has such a wonderful little personality already.
I can't believe that I feel this good just 5 hours after major surgery!
Here are a few pictures until I can upload more. The Internet here is really slow so it takes forever to upload them. We will keep you posted.

Love for Noah

Love for Momma

More hugs for Noah
