We are here and in our house.

So we are in Idaho. For those people who want to see some pictures of baby Isaac, here I am at 28 and 1/2 weeks.

So of course we made it to Idaho last Friday and we have been running from the time we got here.
We moved into our house yesterday! We were so excited to be in our own bed after almost three weeks of hotels and other friends houses. Everybody has been so welcoming and loving. We came with a house and no furniture and now we have almost a house full of furniture. We only need a few things now to complete our house. God has been so amazing to us.
So we are slowly settling in and it will be a while before all the boxes are unpacked. Our plan is to go and get Isaac's baby bed tomorrow in Spokane. I am so excited to get started decorating his room. I think that I might possibly paint his room gray with a black and red stripe. But my mind changes constantly. Our whole house has just been painted so I won't have to do much work on it. I got some new things for our bathroom so I am so excited.
Bill is loving his job. He says he hardly feels like he's working but has already experienced some complaints that only pastors get! Those of you in the ministry know exactly what I mean :-) But we cannot complain at all. God has blessed us so much. He has been so amazing to us by supplying all of our needs and wants. Our church has prayer on Wednesday at noon. This past Wednesday Pastor John thanked God for supplying our needs. The only thing that I could think of was that God has truly supplied our wants, not only our needs! Bill is having a wonderful time. I pray this 'honeymoon' period will continue for a long time.
So please be praying for us as we continue this new adventure in our life.

Update of the trip

So since I was exhausted last night and had to finish a paper, the blog went without an update.
Yesterday we drove to Rawlins, Wyoming and stayed in a very nice hotel. We found that we only had 886 miles left on our trip to Lewiston, so today we drove into Boise, Idaho. It was a gorgeous drive. It's about 60 degrees outside, but the mountains were covered in snow and we saw lots of snow on the ground, but fortunately didn't have to drive through any. God has blessed us so much on this trip with great weather and no problems with the car.

So here are a few pictures from our trip today.

I thought instead of uploading pictures here I would give you a link to the whole album. I loved our hotel.

On the road again......

So below are some pictures from our trip as well as Isaac's baby bedding!
Right now we are in Hays, Kansas. I'm pretty sure that Kansas is the never ending state. We still have almost 200 miles to Colorado but we couldn't drive through the rain anymore today. If we drive at least 500 miles a day we will be in Lewiston on Friday. Please continue to pray that God keeps us safe as he already has throughout our whole trip.
Lastly, we want to tell everybody that we paid $28.00 to fill up our gas tank today! One good thing about Kansas is that gas is cheap, about $2.50/gallon.

So this is a town in Indiana, Santa Claus, Indiana to be exact. I just thought that was funny!

His pillow! Of course he won't be permitted to ever use it!

My mom did the most amazing job in the world on Isaac's baby stuff. I can't wait to get it all together.

On the road

So, it's been a while since I've posted and I feel like it's been a really long time because we've been so busy.
To catch you up just a bit, we spent all of Monday - Thursday packing up our house. With a help from some amazing friends who helped Bill pack the moving truck. Thank you to all of those friends there is no way that we could've done this move without your help.
We left Virginia on Thursday afternoon and drove to Columbus to see Bill's family. We had such a great time as we hadn't seen them in almost a year. Of course we had to go shopping as Columbus has amazing shopping. I got some great maternity clothes for really cheap at JC Penney's Outlet. Just what I needed as I have nothing for cold weather.
On Saturday we left Columbus to spend some time with my family. We drove to WV on Saturday. To make a long story short, my grandparents have a fabulous new bathroom and the all escorted me out to the bathroom which I thought was odd. Low and behold, my Mom was there to surprise me and spend our last few days on the East Coast with us. It was so much fun to have our family all around us, even though I had to spend Sunday working on a stupid paper. I also got to spend some time with my sister who I haven't seen in 16 months. It was amazing to see her again and spend some time with her.
So we left for Idaho this morning. Currently we are in a hotel in Warrenton, Missouri which is somewhere outside of St. Louis. We got a lot of driving under our belts today. Our goal is to make it to Denver tomorrow, but I'm not sure as that's almost 800 miles of traveling in a day. I think we did about 650-700 today. We will see how we both are feeling in the morning.
So my hope is to update you with pictures and some about our trip everyday. So keep checking on the blog or sign up to get emails to get to updated when I update the blog.
Please continue to pray as we are driving. God has truly blessed us and kept us safe.
Oh....I almost forgot the biggest praise. Pastor John called last week to let us know that the church closed on the house that they have said we can live in. He is hoping that the occupants will be out by the time that we get there on Friday! If not, there is a couple who has said we can stay in their furnished apartment. God is so good to us.
So, since I don't have a lot of time today, I am including links to some albums on Facebook. I will try to add pictures to the blog later if there's time.

Moving on

So yesterday was the final day of my job at Liberty. Wow, does it feel weird to not have a job. I must admit I love sleeping in though! This morning was amazing. It was definitely an interesting experience to have my last day at Liberty. Looking back, other than about 13 months, I've been in Lynchburg for 10 years this past July. So knowing that this period of my life is ending has been a very weird feeling. If I every wondered if people at LU cared about me, I certainly found that out today. They had a wonderful farewell/baby shower for me. See some pictures below.

Of course my son has to have shoes! He has 3 pair now!

But now I am able to focus on our new adventure in life. As I was reading a huge card my office got for me, many people wished us luck on our new adventure in life and I couldn't help but think about the name of our blog Ford Family Adventures. Our life is surely one adventure after another. I think that in order to focus on Idaho I had to finish my job. So now I'm so excited and can't wait to finish packing and be on our way to start our new adventure.

So here we go, in the next few days, I have a lot of homework to do because I have two classes ending next week as well as packing my house. God has truly blessed us and we have sold almost all of our furniture. Between people getting married, needing furniture and Craigslist, we only have two pieces of furniture left. Most likely we will be taking these to Goodwill, but that's okay.

This has been such a good week and we are so thankful for the love that our Liberty family has shown us this week. God always provides abundantly.

Just two more pictures....Miss Betty outdid herself and made Baby Isaac some Ohio State clothes and a blanket. I promised to take pictures of Bill opening them! He was so excited. I can't wait for him to see all of the bedding that my Mom has made. He won't know what to do.
