Well, afternoon/evening/night and all day. We took Isaac to the dr on Wednesday because I thought he had a sinus infection. I was right. He started antibiotics and has done pretty good. He's gone to bed early the last few nights, but other than that, he's been really good.
Yesterday afternoon that began to change and we noticed a fussy boy. So he laid down for a nap and went right down which is a little unusual but not out of the ordinary. Then yesterday evening we noticed a much fussier boy and noticed he was warm. He had a temperature of 99.5 which is high so we put him to bed with some Tylenol. At 2:00 this morning he woke up screaming and was HOT to the touch and no matter what I did he wouldn't stop crying. Took his temp and it was 101.7, the highest he's ever had. So I brought him into our room after more Tylenol and he laid in the bed with us and stared at the fan. If you know Isaac, VERY unusual. Usually in .3 seconds he's trying to jump off the end of the bed or climb out the window over our bed. We put him back to bed around 3:30 or so, he woke up coughing around 6:00 but went right back to sleep then at 7:00 woke screaming again. His little body was so hot and he was shaking like a leaf and his heart was racing. His temp was 102.5. We decided since his temp was going up instead of down we needed to take him to Minor Care. (Our ER also includes Minor Care which is very nice) Well since his temp was still almost 102 by the time we got there and he was on antibiotics they decided we would go over to the ER instead. Fortunately we knew the ER doctor. He came right in and our entire visit only lasted about 1/2 hour. He didn't really find anything wrong per say and thought he might just have a virus. He told us to take him to our walk in clinic this afternoon to see the Pediatrician if his fever wasn't normal by this afternoon or just as a precaution as they might want to change his meds. So after the Tylenol/Motrin schedule he gave us, Isaac came home and slept for about 4 hours. When he got up his fever was almost gone and I was so happy. He wanted to play again. He wouldn't even stand up to walk this morning he felt so bad. I gave him a little more Tylenol to keep his fever away. Well as the afternoon progressed he just got warmer and warmer so I woke Bill (we've been taking shifts with naps today as we didn't sleep at all last night) and told him I thought we should go to the dr again because he just wasn't feeling better. After two hours of waiting (I know it's not that long considering they had an emergency and most of you would love to only wait 2 hours in the walk in clinic) and trying to console/entertain a sick boy the doctor came in. He didn't want to have his ears checked and I almost asked her if we could skip it since they were fine this morning and he was not a happy camper. Boy I'm glad I didn't. His right ear was red and a budding ear infection was there. She said a few hours can make all the difference when it comes to ear infections. I told Bill this makes up for all of those times I took him in and the dr said nothing was wrong although as a mother I knew there was something not right. I'm so sad he has an ear infection, but so thankful that we caught it early and hopefully will get it under control before it gets too bad.
So to say all that we have a sick boy who is on medicine and hopefully will all sleep tonight and feel better in the morning. Even through all of this he's been such a good boy. God has blessed me with such a wonderful little family.

What a morning
Well recently I've been talking about my busy busy boy. Well today it was one of those morning. Bill had to get up at 5:15 AM to be at the church for a radio program that was collecting stuffed animals for kids. So he's been up for quite a while. When Isaac and I woke up we went to the church to take him breakfast. On the way I called the dr's office because his runny nose has been running for weeks and is now a yucky color and he's coughing like crazy. Our appointment was at 10:30 this morning. We went over to the office to eat together and while talking he fell on his sippy cup and cut his eye ;-(

This was shortly after it happened, now his eye is black.
My first thought after seeing that it wasn't as bad as I originally thought was stink the dr is going to think I'm abusing my child. He has a cut on his ear, his lip is healing, but still a good cut, now a cut under his eye and bruises on his legs. The final diagnosis, a sinus infection. Plus, the dr said and I quote "this is the age where they go from point A to point B as fast as possible without looking to see whats in the way." I felt much better after that. So off we went to the pharmacy to get bubble gum medicine that will hopefully clear up his nose and cough.
It's sad that we've only been up for 4 hours and I haven't even had time to take a shower yet. I just have to say I love my little boy so much and it makes me so sad when he cries because he's hurt. I just want to love on him and take the pain for him. Fortunately hes not a huge crier. He cries for a minute then moves on. He was so sad this morning. His little lip was quivering it hurt so bad. But he's a tough boy. As soon as we got home he's running around the bathroom waiting to jump in the tubby. He's such a good boy. We are so blessed.

Has it been almost 2 weeks?
I guess it has been almost 2 weeks since I posted last. I wish I could say that it's because we've been super busy but if I'm honest that's not true. Most days we are busy, but I'm learning that's just life. Not that we have that much to do, but Isaac surely keeps me extremely busy. I clean and turn around and the house is littered with things again. I put the toys away and before I get out of the room they are in the floor again. Now we are into climbing. Fortunately, even though he's a little tall for his age, his legs aren't quite long enough to get up on most things but VERY soon it's going to happen. One of the legs on our coffee table is broken. We've got another one, but we have to get to the dump to throw away the old one. Isaac has decided that it's quite fun to climb on top of it, crawl to the top, then stand up and jump. He's such a dare devil these day.
Tonight was the pinnacle of excitement, well all day today. Isaac was in desperate need of a hair cut. he has been for several weeks, we just haven't found a time where Bill and I are both here long enough to cut it before bed time. So today was the day. I was cutting his hair and went to cut the last hair over his ear and he moved really quick and of course, I got his ear. The good thing, he didn't even flinch, didn't cry, I didn't even know I got him until I turned him around. Well, it wasn't bad, but it bled forever. I put a piece of toilet paper on it to make it stop bleeding and it did but as soon as I took it off, it would bleed again. Finally after an over sized band-aid and a nap it stopped bleeding for good. I tell you this part to set up the evening. We had a good afternoon, ate dinner then made a run for Wal-mart. This is his favorite place in the world. They were having a clearance sale so there were balloons everywhere and he thought he was in 7th heaven. We came home and he immediately picked up the pan and the brush that he had played with most of the afternoon. He walked in the living room while we put the ice cream away only to hear a huge scream. Immediately there was blood. I thought it was dripping from his mouth. (He's gotten several new teeth and they are so sharp that any time he bumps his mouth it breaks the skin) Well, it was coming from the outside.....well both the inside and the outside of his mouth. Fortunately we didn't panic but as we all know when a mouth bleeds it bleeds a lot. He was so upset it was hard to tell if he had bitten through his lip or lost a tooth or just got the outside and inside at the same time. Once we got the bleeding under control I called the on call Dr while Bill tried to calm him down. The logical part of me said if he had bitten through his lip there would be tons more blood and it wouldn't be slowly down or stopping like it was. Yet just like his ear it wouldn't clot up completely but wasn't bleeding enough to worry. The on call Dr said that if it wouldn't stop completely after a while or we had any doubts to take him to the ER. Well by the time I got off the phone it had stopped bleeding completely and he was running around like a crazy little boy dancing and throwing hangers. I'm sure in the morning we will have tons of explaining to do at church because he will most likely have a very swollen lip and bruises. Oh the life of a little busy busy boy.
Well it was so beautiful this week that we took him to the park. There are a few pictures to share. He had such a good time. Now that he's walking so good he was unstoppable at the park. He wanted to go up and down every hill and touch every toy. He finally likes the slides. In the past he's been really scared, but he likes them now. Here's a video.
Other than that, our week has been pretty uneventful. Baby Noah is more active than ever. I still have a feeling that this baby is going to be a big one, but I could always be wrong. He has periods of time where it feels like he's gonna jump right out of my belly. Often he likes to kick my computer or anything else sitting against my belly. I asked Bill tonight after the whole kip incident if we were going to get through 2 boys. Part of me feels like I'm too old for this, but I'm so thankful that God has given me these blessings. Yes it is hard to have a one year old and be pregnant again, but God equips us for what He gives us. Even though Isaac is a mover and shaker, I wouldn't trade this experience for the world. I'm sure we'll have a lot more busted lips, cuts, bruises and even scars, but even through those scary times as a mom, those hugs and kisses are the things I remember. I got scared tonight when we couldn't figure out exactly where he was hurt but later Bill told him to come give me love and he comes running over to give me a hug and kiss Noah. Those moment are priceless.
Well here are a few more pictures.

More pictures and a dr update
All is good here. I went to the dr today. I'm officially 24 weeks and 3 days pregnant, although "little" Noah is measuring 28 weeks. What does this mean? Probably nothing. I never measured big with Isaac however he measured big on the ultrasound. Since my blood pressure was so high we knew he probably wouldn't be that big, but since I supposedly had gestational diabetes they weren't sure. As we all know he wasn't that big at 6lbs 9 oz. Noah on the other hand was measuring about 2 weeks ahead of schedule at my 20 weeks ultrasound and now I measure 4 weeks ahead, so you never know. Fortunately my blood pressure is still perfect. I couldn't ask for more. He's still not sure if I have gestational diabetes, but let's put it this way....I eat what I want and drink what I want and my sugar still stays at 100. I despise taking those tests so I wanted to get out of it if I could. The dr said since I'm testing my sugar and it's fine as long as I continue that I don't have to take the next test! Hooray!!!!! So all is well, hopefully we will get to set a date soon for Noah's birthday, unless he keeps measuring so big.
Here's me at 24 weeks pregnant.

Isaac on the other hand is once again growing by leaps and bounds. He's making lots of new sounds and trying to say many words. His favorite word is still clock. He now says block, but it sounds just like clock. He makes a weird sound I can't quite describe. It's kind of a spitting/bum bum bum/ LOUD sound is all I can say. He does it for hours on end and thinks it's hilarious. He also says "yes" to every question you ask him. And again, he goes around saying yes all of the time. Today at the store he wouldn't stop saying yes/yup the entire time we were there. He got louder the longer we were there. It would've been really funny if it was someone else's child. Nobody seemed to be bothered though. He's got 4 teeth this week. Two eye teeth that you can see the point through his gum yet they aren't quite there and two molars, one on top and one on bottom that have broken all the way through. To get 4 teeth in a week, he's been wonderful. Yes, a little fussy and at times hard to get along with, but I can totally understand that.
Here are a few pictures of my silly boy.
This is their nightly ritual. Isaac get a tubby and then he and Daddy pray and read his Bible. As you can imagine, some nights are better than others. This night he was particularly good. Usually Isaac just wants to kiss the people in his Bible.

He loves carrying my hair dryer around the house. Most days I have to go around looking for it in order to dry my hair. Yesterday we were trying to go to a Super Bowl party and he would not put the hair dryer down. It was almost as if he was saying "No Mom, I'm not ready to go, I'm busy." He's such a a silly boy.

He thinks he's a rock star. He loves to play with his guitar and he walks around in circles playing music.

New pictures and an update
I know, it's been a while. It's funny how I check others blogs every day hoping they updated all of their friends and family, but I forget to update my blog.
First let me start with a video. Isaac has this new move when he gets excited. Wherever he is he starts making this "whooshing" sound then flapping his arms in the air squealing with excitement. It's hard to explain but hilarious to watch. If you're having a bad day, watch this and it won't be bad anymore.
I am currently almost 24 weeks pregnant. hard to believe that this one is flying by so quickly. I have 15 weeks left. WOW. I can't believe I'll be a mom of 2 very shortly. I'm feeling pretty good. Tired as normal when you're pregnant. I've had so problems with my back, mainly because I'm getting so big in the front but yes I'm loosing weight. He's not sure if Noah is pressing against something or if everything is just compressing and hurting. Some days I feel fabulous, others it's difficult to walk. But again, it could be much worse and I don't have much to complain about.
This face says it all ;)

Isaac on the other hand found all of the energy that I've lost the last 6 months. As someone watching him said the other day, he never stops. don't get me wrong, he's not bad he's just busy. He has to check everything out and see how it works. He has to get on the floor and look under things to figure it all out. He's slowly figuring out how to get my computer open. He knows there's a button to push, he just can't find the button...yet. He's mastered the stairs, but does a funky thing now. He crawls to the top, very quickly, but when he gets to the top step he won't move until you get there and hold his hand and he wants to walk up the last step. He's such a silly boy. He wants to walk most of the time now, he certainly doesn't want my help or to be carried. Which is a good thing for both of us. He's almost insistent on drinking from a glass with no lid. He does really good and he doesn't spill that much. The only problem is that when he's done drinking he throws it. Well when there's no lid, that's a problem. speaking of throwing, he has discovered gravity and must see the effects of gravity on every object. He throws everything. Not because he's mad or doesn't want it, he wants to see if it will bounce or make a noise. He's not figured out that since the laundry room doesn't have carpet things sound different on the floor in there. He's so smart he even knows that things sound different on the carpet in the family room, the linoleum in the laundry room and the carpet in front of the washer.
I know I think he's the smartest boy, but I was very impressed seeing him take Velcro rollers of different sizes and putting them inside each other, the right way and putting them inside from the top and bottom. He's just so smart. He's saying more and more words these days. Anything that hangs on the wall is a clock and the child can spot a clock from 100 feet away. Sunday he was sitting with someone in front of us at church and during the prayer he realized she was wearing an watch so he started yelling CLOCK CLOCK CLOCK. Bill and I are wondering if he's going to be a clock maker one day. He's also slightly obsessed with books. When I go in to get him in the mornings when he wakes up he immediately yells CLOCK and BOOK. He wants me to know he's got his two favorite things in his room and he must get to them immediately. He wants to read the same books over and over again. He loves for Daddy to read him "Elmo, Clap Your Hands." However I don't read it good enough I think because he takes it away from me and walks to Daddy.
Even though he does great when going to bed we are trying to establish a good bed time routine. We take a tubby which is his favorite thing in the world. I think he could play in the tub for hours. He loves to take a cup of water and "try" to pour it on me. He thinks it's hilarious. After the tubby he gets dressed and he and Daddy read his Bible. He loves it. If his Bible is laying on the stool during the day he will bring it to me and say "Daddy, Daddy." He loves it so much he has to kiss Jesus every time they read it. He's also very big into "kissing" things that he likes. Books, the couch, Winnie the Pooh and just about anything Elmo, he kisses. He won't give you a kiss if you ask for it, but at random times he wants to kiss you. He also kisses Baby Noah quite often.
So nothing huge is going on, we're just enjoying our growing boy and realizing very quickly that he is no longer a baby and loosing those baby qualities more and more every day. We're almost done with the bottle. I think he could be done completely as he only takes one when he goes to bed at night, but I still want to give him one just because that means in some sense, he's still a baby.
He loves to put spoons and forks in bowls, cups and plates.

My big boy, he even brushed his own hair.
