Obviously it has been months, more like close to five months since I posted. As always, free time just isn't what it use to be. My boys are getting bigger and bigger and more active and talkative each and every day. Honestly, the never stop. Never stop moving, talking, thinking, creating, asking questions or loving us. Some days when they go to bed we just sit in quiet for a few minutes.
Please don't get me wrong, I would never ever trade these smiles for anything in this world. They have so much love to give. It is truly unconditional love. They are frustrated with us at times, but always love us. They hate to be told what to do, but desperately need it and even crave it. It's weird how kids hate rules and guidance yet want them at the same time. I guess we all do. I'm sure there's a deeper theological reason why we have a love/hate relationship with rules and guidance.
An update on us......Isaac is just over 4 and LOVES baseball as usual. This spring he plays for the Colorado Rockies. He loves his purple jersey, hat and glove. Who else would love that purple is the color of his team? He is the smartest 4 year old I know. I know every mom says that, but he is. He can write all his letters and most numbers. He can count to approximately 27, he can spell an recognize several words. He now makes signs for us. Today it was a No Crossing sign. He wrote the word NO and a big X. Bill asked him to draw another picture, but he says he only makes sign now. They both love to be outside as much as possible. I think they would stay outside every minute of daylight if we let them. Right now I hear him talking on the phone to Grandpa Scott asking which state he lives in and he immediately knows which baseball teams come from that state. He is too crazy. He's learning Bible verses now, he is just too smart. He likes to do his own thing though. He's not a kid that goes along with the crowd. I love that about him. He realizes that we don't live in the same state as our family now so everyone he meets he has to ask what state they live in. He is too funny.
Noah turns 3 next week. How in the world is my baby turning three already? It feels like just the other day I was hugely pregnant begging for the contractions to stop. Now I have a little man who is more stubborn than I could ever imagine, but is the most loving child I have ever met. Some how he knows just when you need a hug or kiss. He loves to cuddle and for the most part when he is alone he is a very quiet boy. Put him around other children he is a wild maniac. Noah still follows in Isaac's footsteps quite a big, yet he's learning to like things on his own. He loves Captain America and Incredible Hulk. He loves to read books and watch movies. His favorite chore is to unload the dishwasher. He thinks he is so big helping unload it. He also loves to help move the clothes from the washer to the dryer. His future wife will love me if he continues to do these chores.
All in all, our lives are slow yet very fast. Boring but there's always something going on. We've found some amazing friends that we meet with for a wonderful time of fellowship and Bible study each week and we live for those times. They are so enjoyable. We are so thankful for God blessing us each day and revealing Himself to us more and more as we travel through life.
