Here we are

So our days in Lynchburg are numbered. The moving truck arrives on October 8th and we will leave October 9th. Wow, just a few more days. My last day of work is Wednesday and they are having a big farewell party for me. I feel very loved as many plans are being made. It's a very bittersweet moment. As I prepare to leave LU for the second time, my emotions are very conflicted. I can't wait to begin our new lives in Idaho with our new church family. I feel like we can finally start our real lives and really prepared for baby Isaac and prepare ourselves to be wonderful parents. As we go, I think of the friends I've had at Liberty for almost 10 years and the ones I've only had for a few months and it's hard to believe that I'll be moving away, not only moving away, but moving across the country. Then to think I'll be 40 plus hours from my family. If I didn't know better I would think if I was reading this I didn't want to go to Idaho, but believe me I can't wait. What I've learned in my class this semester is that sometimes in order to move on to better things, we have to leave good things behind. So this is my thought. In order to live the life God has planned for us, we have to leave our comfort zone of Lynchburg. God is so amazing and has provided so much for us already. He will continue to give us guidance and peace through packing, leaving and our trip to Idaho.
Good news....we've found if we leave from WV, which is our plan, that it should only take us about 35 hours to get there. That's much better than the 42 we were planning from Lynchburg. 7 hours is about all we'll be able to do in a day because I have to stop all the time, so it will save us about a days travel.
So I hope no one thinks that I don't want to go, because I can't wait to start our new lives. How many people get the opportunity to start fresh? we do and I'm so excited. But just as all of you have moved away, it's hard to leave those friend you've found behind. God is good! As always, and fortunately for us, that never changes.

Oh the joys of the weekend

So today we headed to the last Candle Tent Sale I'll be able to go to. It kind of takes the fun out of it when you know everything you buy has to be packed. But we had a great time and got some good deals.
Our friend George brought us some boxes today to start packing. So, maybe when I say "some boxes" I'm downplaying this just a bit. He stacked up boxes in our living room and they come almost past my shoulder. Hopefully we won't need more than that. I started packing up the spare bedroom today and we had some friends come over last night and bought some of our furniture. That was a huge blessing not only for us, but for them as they needed some furniture.
So here we are....the moving truck will be here October 8th. How scary is that?
God is completely in control and we can see Him working the little details out piece by piece. It's amazing to see all these blessings. Bill and I keep saying that this almost seems too good to be true. I think God's blessing us for waiting and quitting while He prepared the perfect place at the perfect time.
We will keep you more updated when we know more.

Idaho here we come.....

So, we are so thankful to let everyone know that we are moving to Idaho!
God has truly blessed us with a ministry opportunity and we couldn't be more excited. Pastor John and the church seem very excited for Bill to come on staff to see what God has in store for the church.
We will ask that you pray for us as there are many things to do in the next four weeks. My last day of work is October 3rd and we are planning to move the following week. In need to find doctors, housing, sell our things, plus tie up any loose ends we have in Lynchburg.
We are so excited about this opportunity. God is so faithful and when we wait on Him, He continually provides for us in more ways than we can imagine.

Baby Shopping

So we've only known that it's a boy for two days now, however I'm pretty sure he has a growing wardrobe bigger than most children 6 months old. I had already gotten a lot of gender neutral clothes, but then on Wednesday we went several places and ended up with three huge bags of clothes. Already this child has a bigger wardrobe than Bill! So we've had so much fun registering and shopping for baby Isaac. Did I mention that we love calling him Isaac.
Well please continue to pray for us as we are waiting for the church to vote on Sunday! We will keep you updated.

It's a boy

So we're having a boy!!!!!!!!!!

Yesterday's ultrasound was one of the most surreal moment's of my life. Obviously I know that there's a baby inside of my belly but seeing how much he was moving around and rolling from side to side was so crazy! I didn't really get emotional until we saw his little heart beating and then he turned to look in our direction for the first time. Honestly, I'm getting a little emotional now, just remembering that moment.
I told Bill I just keep thinking what an amazing God we have. He takes nothing and makes a little tiny baby that's perfectly forms at 22 weeks. I will always wonder how people who do ultrasounds of babies can ever deny that there is a God. How in the world could this just happen. We must have a Creator. We know that Creator is God.
So below are some pictures from the ultrasound. So amazing!

Here is his little face with his hand up there. I think we were making him tired!

It's a boy

A picture of his little feet. On the right you can see his little itty bitty toes! He moved around so much. The tech could hardly get a few pictures of his belly because he just kept moving.

This is his face. It almost looks like he's looking right at us. At one point during the ultrasound, he was looking at us like this picture show and then he put his hand up and it looked like he was waving to say hi mom and dad! Okay, he probably wasn't, but I like to think he was!

Boy or Girl?????

Well, I wish I could tell you.
My appointment yesterday got cancelled as the Ultrasound Tech had to go home sick. The first available appointment is tomorrow (Wednesday) morning at 8 am. So hopefully we will find out tomorrow morning. We are disappointed, but trying to remember two things. One, we've waited 22 weeks for this day, 36 hours isn't much longer. Two, there's a reason we weren't supposed to find out yesterday. I think it goes back into that plan that God is teaching us to wait and trust. We aren't sure why and we are pretty sure that He is trying to force us to trust and to be patient as we can both use a good dose of patience in our life.
So, here we are......we will find out tomorrow what our baby is and then on Sunday we will find out the fate of our future. Not to mention that we are both working, I have homework, as well as other daily life! As you can tell, we're kind of busy right now.
So as always I end with a prayer request. Pray that God gives us patience to wait and the ability to control and release our stress in a positive way.

Hopefully tomorrow I'll have more good news about the gender of our baby. Oh, pray this baby cooperates. I don't think I can take another few months of waiting :-)

Since I'm always asking you for prayer, please let us know how we can pray for you.
