So here I am on a Saturday afternoon relaxing and putting off homework. So what better to do than write a blog than do homework.
We got an update from Idaho last night. The church will be voting on Sep 14th. Exciting and scary all in one. Pastor John and the elders are very excited and it seems that there concerns regarding the insurance have been laid to rest. So once again God has been faithful in His timing. Do you see a theme in our lives? God is forcing us to trust Him which is so hard. I keep praying that God will show us why he is teaching us these lessons, knowing that it might not be in His plan for us to know. We must trust Him.
Well in 8 days we get to find out if the baby is a boy or girl. I can hardly wait I'm so excited. I think the only people more excited than Bill and me are our parents. They can hardly wait to know. I can finally go shopping and pick out a nursery theme. My mind has only change a few times since thinking about this months ago. If it's a boy, he will have an Ohio State room. Is anyone shocked???? If it's a girl, I can't make up my mind. I was first thinking brown and teal, then maybe add green with it. But now, I'm leaning more towards polka dots. I love polka dots! Hopefully by the time we decorate we'll be in Idaho and I won't be working so I'll have all the time I need to make the room perfect.
Please continue praying for us. We both have a lot on our plates right now. Because of the nature of Bill's job, I can' t talk much about his clients, but I will say right now he's got two challenging situations and it's hard to try to help these people when you can't share the Truth with them. We know what will help fix their lives and problems but he can't share that with them. So we ask for your prayers as always.
More updates soon. Expect lots of pictures while Mom and Shaun are here!

Here we are
After one long Monday I thought I'd take a few minutes to de-stress and update everyone who reads my blog on our lives.
I don't have much excitement to share for the week as classes started this week. Remind me why I'm pushing myself to get my degree done this semester???? Oh yes, because I know if I don't finish these 3 classes now once the baby comes I'll never finish. Sometime I wonder if I am trying a glutton for punishment as I'm married, expecting a baby, working more than full time, going to Grad school full time and after all this, still trying to having a life. I am most definitely not complaining because God has provided a way for me to get all these thing done at this. Sometimes I just wonder why I chose to do it all at once :-)
Well, we are still in a waiting pattern finding out what our future holds. We are praying moment by moment that God will give us understanding and patience as we are waiting to hear from Idaho. Once again, we are positive that God is faithful and has His master plan for our lives. We are continuing to pray that God keeps our anxiousness at bay as we are waiting to hear. Please pray with us that God allows us to hear something either one way or the other soon or that He will continue to control our patience as we wait. God has a Master Plan for us.
Off on a side note.....I'm reminded every time I share of our experience of a devotional that I read years ago, but God continues to bring this back to me. The verse is Jeremiah 29:11. A verse that most of us who have ever read the Bible most likely know by heart. To quickly tell you a little about the devotions, she is saying that God has a plan for us and sometimes it seems like a dot to dot picture. We move from dot to dot, some dots are pleasant some are not, but we can't see the big picture. All we can see is the dots and wonder what this picture looks like. Then we see the painter of this picture who is God placing each of these dots in a particular order. Once again, we can't see what this picture will make, but we are so fortunate that He knows what this picture is. It's very encouraging to know that even though I have no idea what our future holds for us, God know. He knows every moment, every place, every ministry that we will serve in. He has a plan.
So all that to say we don't know much more than we did last week at this point, however our response to not knowing are very different this week. God has always been faithful and will continue to be faithful.

Update
Well here we are. To bring you a little bit of an update, the last two days have been extremely confusing.
First, to focus on the good things and blessings that God has given us. I've realized in the last few days that I have a very active baby in my belly. There are many times that I truly think this baby is trying to jump out of my belly. I don't say any of that to complain, but to express how exciting it is to feel this baby moving around. There are many times throughout the day that I'm like what is going on in my belly. Then I think oh yes, that would be a baby. We get to find out in three weeks what this baby is and we can hardly wait.
An update on the church. The church was going to vote yesterday. As some of you know Pastor John was in Lynchburg dropping off his son at Liberty. Because of some confusion regarding the insurance and questions that the church had that the elders couldn't answer, the church decided not to vote. After waiting through all night and then most of the day because of the time difference, Pastor John called to explain what he knew at that point. He will be returning to Idaho tomorrow to meet his new grandson who is almost 11 lbs (this fact scares me :-)) as well as sometime this week meet with the elders to hopefully answer any questions they have. Our hope and prayer is that ultimately God's will is accomplished in this situation even if it's not to go to Idaho which is a hard thing to think about. We want what God wants for us and for the church. Hopefully the church will be able to vote on Sunday, but at this point we don't know much until Pastor John gets back and meets with the elders.
Even though this is a very hard time, we know that God has a plan for us and waiting for an answer is somehow part of this plan. We know that we might not ever know how this works into God's plan specifically, but God is teaching us as He has so many times over the past two years, that it's not our timing, it's His timing.
So to sum this huge blog up, please pray with us that we are patient while waiting and that no matter what, we don't get frustrated with God and His perfect plan. He has always proved Himself faithful as we know he will now, but waiting is so hard.
We will keep you updated as we know more information.

A lovely Saturday
So i had the bright idea of dragging us to the kids consignment shops today because I had heard they had great deals. Boy oh boy, did I hear right. We got a bouncy seat, a Boppy pillow, a few clothes and a play mat all for what we would've paid for the bouncy seat at the store. We had such a great time shopping for baby things. If you know me at all, you know that I love duckies, so of course our poor child's clothing to this point has lots of ducks on it. I hope he or she isn't afraid of duckies, but by the time the baby grow up and can talk, I'm sure it will tell us how much it hated duckies!
Well we only have another day and a half to find out if our future holds Idaho in it. We are anxious, but God is constantly reminding us that He is in control.
More updates soon......

We just got back from the dr.'s office and she said that the baby's heartbeat sounds good and strong. We are SOOOOOOOOOOOO excited!
We get to find out on September 8th what the baby is. We can hardly wait.

More Therapy
I'm learning the more I do this that this blog is becoming more theraputic for me than enjoyment for anyone reading it! I've learned that I enjoy reflecting on the days behind me and trying to find the good in those days to update everybody on.
This past weekend we spent an amazing time with family in wild, wonderful WV! I've always enjoyed spending time with family, but realized this weekend that I tend to take living 5 hours away from them for granted. Being faced with the possibility of moving almost all the way across the country and not being able to jump in the car and drive to WV is a very sobering fact. Fortunately if we do move, we will be having a baby shortly thereafter which means everybody should come visit! To sum up our trip, we had a great time eating, shopping, eating, Bill got to go to Marshall football practice, eating some more, looking at RV's and then of course eating. Do you see a theme? When we go back to WV, we have to get all of my favorite foods, which while your pregnant is guilt free!
We go to the doctor this afternoon to hear the baby's heart beat again, which is so exciting! We also get to schedule our next appointment to find out if the baby is a boy or girl. We can hardly wait for that day. I can finally start planning a nursery and buying the right clothes. I never guessed it would be this hard to find clothes that are gender neutral.
The church in Idaho will be voting on whether or not to hire Bill this Sunday. So we ask for your prayers as they vote and selfishly as we wait for the results. We've already learned that the 3 hour time difference makes waiting very hard. As we finish church and are on our way to eat lunch, they are just beginning their first service. But as always God provides. He has again shown His faithfulness and provision regarding the insurance. We found out last week if we moved before the baby was born and accepted their insurance we could be liable for almost $49,000 for the first year, if we acquire those bills. That is a huge number when you think of insurance. Once hospital stay could cost this much. After joining in prayer with the church we decided to speak with the insurance person at Liberty to find out if there was a way to continue our coverage and have it work in Idaho. Our insurance person told us that yes, this is a possibility and the cost will be very affordable for us. Plus, we shouldn't have any problems being covered in Idaho. I've already found 10 doctors within 5 miles that will accept our insurance. So once again, God has provided. Please pray with us that God's will is accomplished through this vote, even if it's not for us to go to Idaho. We know that God has a plan for us.
Well as most of you know, school starts on Monday so it will be a very busy time at work and at home. I will be finishing my last three classes this semester and hopefully in November, December at the latest, I will earn my Masters in Theological Studies! This is such a huge accomplish working full time and taking Masters classes full time, plus finding out I was pregnant last semester. God always give grace, that's for sure!
Keep us updated with your lives!

So, since the last post, including pictures worked, I thought I would update everyone on what's going on with us.
As most everyone in our lives knows, we interviewed at a church in Idaho the middle of July. Currently they liked us :-) so they will be voting on Bill to take an Associate Pastors positions on August 17th. This is a huge answer to prayer, however we have many things that need to be worked out. God know His plan for us and specifically knows how He alone will work out every detail. If this is in God's plan for us, we ask that you pray with us that God will give us peace that He will work everything out. God has a plan. He has always been and continues daily to be faithful to us even when we aren't as faithful as we should be to Him. Pray with us that God will reveal His plan to us.
