So I just noticed that today is my 201st post! I think it's very appropriate that my 200th post was about Isaac's 2nd birthday.
Today though I must share a few of Isaac's sayings. I'm convinced he's the smartest 2 year old in the world. I know, I know, every mother says that. But I know it :-) At two he's able to identify anything red, blue, green, orange and sometimes purple (he calls it blue sometimes). He can identify a star, a diamond and a heart, but not a circle or a square. I say that's genius. Nana got him counting and identifying Mickey Mouse Cards for his birthday. He brought some to us and was saying "look Mommy, orange diamond." That's my kid.
Today there was a soccer movie on TV and Isaac starts yelling "he kicked the ball, he kicked the ball." I just can't get over how in the last few weeks he's gone from saying a word or two and now he's putting together sentences and making sense.
He is repeating everything. Today I was talking about him and said to Mom "he repeats everything" and he starts running around saying "repeat, repeat, repeat." He's so silly. For some strange reason he loves the word shoot. He thinks it's hilarious. He just starts laughing so hard. The more you say it, the louder you say it the more funny he thinks it is. We've resorted to spelling things out at time. I swore I'd never be one of those parents that spell. I guess I'll just add it to the list of things I swore I'd never do as a parent. But, it's funny because he's been watching Word World and they spell everything. He tries to spell it too. He now spells Bear BRAERA. He's so silly. But we've noticed any time we spell he tries to spell the letters in the same way we did. I hope he picks up our good qualities and not our bad qualities. The only thing he refuses to say is Aunt M. Every now and then we get a "rant rem" but that's about the closet thing.
I guess I say all of this to try to show you how much fun he is and how much I love this boy. This boy is amazing. He has difficult moments, but we're learning that the things we're teaching him are sinking in. Slowly, but surely. He good moments far outweigh the hard moments. With Nana and Poppy and Aunt Vickie being here, no nap and way too much sugar, he's been such a good boy.
God has blessed me with two amazing little boys. I am so thankful for both of them and what they bring to my life every day.

2 years old today!
Oh we have had such a good, but exhausting day. I truly think that Isaac has enjoyed every second of his day. He has played and eaten so much sugar. As you will see, he loved the icing on the cake! We had a great 2nd birthday!
His blow up ball pit from Mommy and Daddy.
Yes he's crying at his party. He thought the candles were suckers and he was mad we wouldn't let him eat them.

Two whole years
I've been doing a lot of reminiscing the last few days. My big boy turns two on Saturday. I love to think of the things that happened last year or the year before on birthdays and anniversaries.
Two years ago today we were planning for one of the biggest days of our lives. The birth of our first baby, our son. After weeks of the doctors saying it could happen at any time, we were going to be induced. Like everything in our lives, that didn't go quiet as planned. :-) I sometimes think that God laughs at my plans.
Our lives were very different 2 years ago. We went from a family of two to a family or three and then 16 months later a family of 4! WOW. What in the world. But, we wouldn't change a thing. Two years ago on Saturday a tiny baby boy entered our lives and changed our lives forever. My big baby boy is one of the most amazing things in my life. He bring more joy than I could ever imagine. He's definitely a stubborn boy and there are many times that he drives us crazy but the good far out weighs the bad. That special smile. The way he runs to the door screaming Mommy Mommy when I come home. The way he take my hand and leads me around the house showing me everything he's done all day.
I love this boy more than I ever thought possible. I am so thankful that God brought him into our lives just when He did. Even though our plan was to have him much earlier, God always knows best and gave us him and the most perfect time.

Goodbye 2010 HELLO 2011
This year has been a year of change. In 2010, we've had many new adventures in our lives. Some good, some hard, some indescribable. But, here we are getting ready to ring in the new year happy an healthy.
Looking back I have to think of the high points. We celebrated Isaac's first birthday! We had another precious baby boy in May. We moved to Florida. After 7 long months I got a job and we moved to TN.
I will not focus on the low points of the year as we are still trying to heal from the hurt. Reliving that pain doesn't help the healing process. But I will say this. This year has been a year that we have been put the Refiner's Fire. There have been moments that I pray I will forget and moments I pray I won't forget. But, I must say through it God has molded us into who we are. He is showing us every day that we still have some very rough edges. But, I must say that even though this past year has been one of the hardest of my life and I would never willingly repeat this year, I wouldn't change anything.
If you know our lives over the past 12 months you might ask me why I wouldn't change anything. If I changed anything I wouldn't have learned the things I did. I wouldn't have seen God work in the ways that He did. I wouldn't have seen His provision in the ways that I did. I wouldn't be able to stand here and list off 20 way or more that God has provided and the only way I can explain what's happened is God's provision. I wouldn't be able to say that today I have a relationship with God like I never have before. I wouldn't be living in TN and have an amazing house and furniture to go in it.
Looking back, I am very thankful for this past year. I have an amazing husband and two precious boys. We have had many different adventures through this last year, but I wouldn't have wanted to have these adventures with anyone else than my husband. After almost 6 years of marriage I can say that we love each other more today.
God has also brought into our life many new friends. Without these friends that God had placed in our lives I'm not sure how we would've made it through this year.
I can also thank the Lord for our health. As I think, there are so many families struggling with health problems not knowing how long their family remember will be here in 2011. As we've been without insurance for most of this year, I must say that I am so thankful that for the most part we have been very healthy and as far as we know we are very healthy.
Even though this year has brought about much change, I've learned several things. Some lessons I've learned again. Just like how faithful God is. I know this in my heart but I've learned again how faithful He is. I'm also beginning to learn what things in life are important. It's not what you have. As picture frame I bought this year said "The important things in life aren't "things" at all." How true is that? Today I don't have everything I want. But I have everything I need. I have a God who loves me unconditionally. He provides for my daily needs. I have my family, both the ones in my house and the ones in Arizona, Florida, Ohio and West Virginia. I have a roof over my head and I've always had food to eat. God gives me exactly what I need exactly when I need it and not a moment before He knows I need it.
Even though I'm looking forward to a new year, I pray that I never forget the lessons that I have learned this year.
I pray that this year, you will learn to love what you have and not to want for the things that you don't have, that you will rely on God for your daily needs, something that I'm learning to do every day, that you will cherish every moment you have with your family and friends and learn to love them unconditionally.
