I haven't forgotten you...

My oh my it's been over a month since I've blogged. Not because I haven't wanted to, but because our computer temporarily died. We thought it was the computer but as a last ditch effort I got a new plug and found it was just the plug. Thank you Lord. He knows we don't have money to buy another one right now.
But, a quick update: I'm loving my job, but it's wearing me out. Bill is doing amazing as a Stay at home Dad. The boys love having heir Daddy home all the time .
Isaac is Isaac! That about sums it up. He think he's almost 2 going on 10. He never stops moving. His vocabulary is increasing daily. Today when I came home, he picked up my purse and looked at me and said "Mommy's purse." Since when did he start saying purse? He also had to call me at work today which I LOVED! He missed his Mommy. Noah is getting huge. He weighs almost 21lbs and is 29 inches tall. He's wearing clothes at 6 months old that Isaac wore when he started walking. Noah doesn't like to sleep at night, but other than that he's a very happy baby. He has two teeth on the bottom and three teeth that continually flirt with coming in. He's sitting up and rolling over. He's starting to push up on his hands and knees, but I stop that every time I see it. I'm not ready for this kid to be mobile yet.
We are enjoying Smyrna for sure. It's a nice little town. We got our first real snow last night. Isaac and Daddy went out to play it in, but Isaac refused to touch it. He looked like the little boy in "A Christmas Story" all bundled up not able to walk.
For now I can't post picture because they are still uploading. It seems like it's taking forever, but it is uploading several hundred (yes I said hundred) pictures.
I will try to upload some for you tomorrow. Just wanted to let everyone know I didn't fall off the face of the earth!

First Day of Work

Well lots of people are wondering what's going on with us and this seems easier to write here instead of spending hours and hours on the phone since there's not much free time there days.

We made our official move to TN on Friday. We finally got to see our townhouse. We were very pleasantly surprised at what we found when we got here. God truly blessed us with what we have. We have a huge living room and dining room, the kitchen is a lot bigger than any I've had and I have a pantry. We have a separate laundry room which is nice as well. All of our bedrooms are upstairs which I love and hate at the same time.

Isaac has taken over the house pretty much. He has his own little closet under the stairs where his toys are kept and he has learned how to open the door and get them out when he wants them. He's mastered the stairs and he can get up and down them walking without holding on to anything. He's just getting so big.

Noah is getting way to big. I'm a little emotional about him tonight. He's completely mastered sitting up now and can sit in the floor for several minutes and play with Isaac. He loves playing with his big brother. Isaac can almost always make him laugh. A big old belly laugh usually. Noah is also cutting his first tooth. I can't believe it. He's getting so big so quick. I feel like my baby is growing out of that baby stage way too quick.

I started my new job yesterday. It was kind of overwhelming but exciting as well. I am the Registration Coordinator in the Scheduling Center at Middle Tennessee State University. Basically I am going to be setting up classes for student to register and for departments, scheduling classrooms and department events as well as deal with registration issues and troubleshooting problems. There's a lot of work to do, but the nice thing is I can focus on one aspect of registration. I started on the first day of registration this year and had to laugh. They kept saying it was SO busy. They didn't even have a student come in the office until an hour after we opened. They saw at the most 150 students yesterday. I almost died laughing talking about how busy they were. At LU, we saw 150 students in the first 1/2 of registration. So it will be nice getting used to a little but slower pace when it comes to registration.

Bill is adjusting to being home with the boys. He is doing a GREAT job. Yesterday he did laundry, unpacked boxes, took care of the boys and got dinner ready to the point that all I had to do is cook it. Today he was home with two sick boys (Isaac has a cold and Noah has a cold as well as getting his first tooth). They cried most of the day and Bill was still sane when I came home. He even got the laundry done, the house picked up and dinner done when I came home. He is wonderful.

Please continue to pray for us. Our journey isn't quite over yet. We still have lots of adjustments to handle. The main one is the time adjustment. We basically lost 2 hours because we are on central time and the time change. The boys are getting up about 5:00 am because they still think it's 7:00. We also have a lot of adjusting to do getting use to our new "normal" of me working and Bill caring for the boys.

God will supply everything we need and we know it.

House Pictures

Well we made it to TN! We drove through snow and ice to get here and woke up to 26 degrees this morning. But we're here, everything's in our house and the moving truck has been returned!

I don't have much time, but here's a link to pictures of our house! We love it. It's much bigger than we imagined!

Photo Shoot

I must share a silly video of my boys before the pictures! Click here to see how silly they are!

So the boys, well one of the boys didn't cooperate that well, but what do you expect from a 2 year old. We got some good pictures. I promise Noah isn't deformed :) They made us hold him from underneath the blanket and he looks like he has a weird belly with our hands there. We tried to get diaper pictures with the boys because they had matching diapers, but Isaac was more than done with pictures at that time. All in all these turned out really good. Nana got what she wanted, good pictures of the boys!

My baseball and football

I guess it's a really good thing that Bill and I aren't really big into Halloween and we even debated getting the boys dressed up. Why is it a good thing we aren't really into it you ask. That's because they both HATE being dressed up.
Mom made the most adorable baseball costume for Isaac and he loves it, he just won't wear it. Then we got a cute football costume for Noah, and he doesn't like his either. Below are the best pictures I could get. So we're hoping that they will at least wear their costumes long enough to go to Nana and Poppy's to get lots of candy on Sunday but we will see.

Playtime at the park

I didn't have to work yesterday so we decided to take the boys to the park because it was really hot. As soon as we got there, Bill and Isaac headed to the Basketball court and found a basketball that was left. Isaac thought it was the best thing in the world.

They played for a few minutes then I realized across the parking lot was an empty Baseball field. So we headed over. Once Isaac realized what it was, he went crazy, screaming baseball, baseball, baseball. This little boy had more fun than I ever could have imagined. Here's a video.
He ran around the bases, stood on the pitchers mound and threw the imaginary baseball to Daddy, played in the dirt and tried to throw the basketball he found like a baseball but it was a little too big. Then a little girl came to play. He had way to much fun with her. The kicked the ball around the field, then she took his hand and ran all around. I wasn't quite sure how I felt about him holding hands with a girl.

Then we headed to the swings and slides. He met a little boy there who was so cute. He even invited us to lunch with them ;-) Oh the joys of children, they have no inhibitions. They aren't embarrassed to ask any question or befriend any person. Oh to have this simple mind yet again and not be worries about what people might think or how they might respond.

We had such a good day and I'm so thankful that we got to share this day together before I head to work.
