Out with the old, in with the new to us

Today we had to do something very sad. Today we were forced to trade in the good, reliable Kia. Sadly the time had come with more than 104,000 miles that things were begining to go wrong. My thoughts are, do we spend money every month fixing things and be out that money for repairs or do we put that towards a more reliable newer car.
After we started having problems with the radiator and knowing we will be driving to Florida in a few months, today was the day. I found myself oddly emotional about leaving behind our Kia.
There have been many wonderful moments in that car. Bringing both boys home from the hospital in that car. Starting new adventures 8 months pregnant and in the car for 4 days straight. And beginning new chapters of our lives driving again with a 16 month old and a 3 week old across the country. God completely ordered our steps and all the details as we purchased that car 6 years ago. Just the two of us, newly married, joking of one day fitting a car seat in the back.
Only God would know that 6 years later we would have 2 car seats in that little Kia and two trips accross the country. I feel like God has once again ordered our steps with this purchase. We prayed last night that God would prepare every person we came in contact with today. We feel like He did exactly that. Every person was ready for us. We went in hoping for a Prius but quickly finding that even a used one was almost double what I wanted to spend.
So we found a Toyota Camry much closer to the price we wanted to spend. We ended up with a Toyota Camry, 2011 with 40,000 miles. To us this is almost a new car. The boys love it and there's a huge amount of room. I can fit in the backseat with the two car seats comfortably.
So we say goodbye to the old car holding the good memories in our hearts and mind and hopefully saying goodbye to any not so good memories. I am sure this new car will have many many new memories to share. As the boys continue to grow so big I am sure this will just be another chapter in our lives.
