Easter Egg hunt

Last year we went to the Sam Davis home for an Easter egg hunt so we thought we'd make this a tradition. As with most children, the older the boys get the more they enjoy it. To think last Easter, Noah was just beginning to walk and Isaac could barely put a sentence together. My oh my how things have changed.
This year the boys hunted eggs, played some games and got their faces painted. Isaac got a baseball (shocking, I know) and Noah became a bunny. Evidentally we wore the bunny out as he fell asleep shortly after we got in the car.
Last night we asked Isaac what Easter was about and he said eggs. So we had to have a Bible lesson and learn the real meaning of Easter. Easter is my favorite holiday, I think. There's not a whole lots of planning or money that goes into. We are free to celebrate our Risen Savior. The real reason we have a hope in Christ.  The church on the corner puts up wooden crosses on Good Friday and on Sunday an empty tomb. As a Christ follower, howw can you not be excited over His resurrection?

Baseball uniform

Today was the day. Isaac got his baseball uniform. He picked #6. He is so excited he can barely contain himself!

Dinosaur

We went to the zoo especially for the Dino Trek. We. We got to see some other animals and play on the big playground. The Dino Trek ended up being a lost cause for the boys. Noah, like many of the kids, was scared to death through most of it. Isaac had moments where he was scared but just sat there. Moat of the kids the boys age left crying within a minute or so. I guess I should be happy they made it all the way through.
They love the zoo. So thankful for our membership.

Sunday fun

Today was a wonderful day! Church was amazing. God spoke to all of us in so many ways as well as intricately orchestrated every person to be there at that time and perfectly gave Jim a message to preach that fit everyone there.
Jim is a very relational pastor. Very conversational in his preaching. He asks questions and wants answers. This morning he gave an illustration then asked if any had their mother say "why did you do that?" Many people raised their hands and laughed. A young man, a visitor, raised his hand but something was different. Jim asked him to share his story and the young man went on to share that he had tried to commit suicide earlier this week and just got out of the hospital. Jim immediately walked to the young man, asked the church to surround him and we all prayed for this young man. An amazing moment to be a part of. God was truly moving. Jim's message was perfect. He talked about Psalms 103 and reminded us how important we are to God and how He doesn't focus on our sins. He forgives our sins.? What an amazing message for someone who has been saved 30 years or someone who is just learning who Christ is. I'm not usually a person who is extremely outgoing in my corporate worship but after church this morning I wanted to shout. God is so amazing.

After church we decided to take the boys to the mall to play. On the way out we checked the mail. Our tax return was in the mail! We weren't expecting it till the end of the month. We are so thankful for this blessing.

So we took the boys to the mall and to Chuck E Cheese to celebrate! They were so happy.
I just have to say how.amazing God has been to us. Lately He has been impressing on me about praying with faith. Not faith that He has the ability to do somwthing but faith that He will do what I ask.
It's always amazing to see God reward us when we do what He says. That doesn't mean that every time we obey He will reward us with a tamgable gift and He might not reward us immediately, but He will reward us. In His time.

Silliness

So Noah is so silly and it never fails he has to be bathed when he's done eating but tonight was a new high. He insisted on using the wrong end of the fork to eat.

Pictures

You're getting so big. I hear myself say this phrase at least once every single day. Usually multiple times a day.
My boys are growing so quickly. I cannot believe Isaac is 3 going on 15 and Noah is almost 2. The last two years have been crazy with raising two boys and I'm pretty sure most days we think we will lose our minds. But the hugs, the kisses, and the unconditional loves far outweigh the hard days and trying moments.
We have truly.been blesses.
